From September 19th to 21st, the 2025 (21st) ChinaCALLInternationalConference was grandly held at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This conference was hosted by the Language Intelligent Teaching Professional Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of Chinese and English (ChinaCALL), jointly organized by the Online Education College of Beijing Foreign Studies University, the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Human Language, and the School of Foreign Languages of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It was also co-organized by the Editorial Department of the *Journal of China Computer-Assisted Language Learning,Virtual Exchange China Hub, Beijing Waiyan Online Digital Technology Co., Ltd.,and other institutions.

With the theme of“Innovating CALL, Innovating Pedagogy”, the conference has set up a rich and diversified agenda including pre-conference workshops, keynote speeches and invited speeches by experts, parallel seminars, academic roundtables as well as the exhibition of innovative educational products. Nearly 200 experts, scholars and teachers from 64 universities and colleges in 11 countries around the world gathered in Nanjing, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as the theoretical study of innovation and technology, the application of intelligent technology in interdisciplinary teaching and learning, and technology-enabled teacher development and research. Participants shared the latest achievements in the integration of technological innovation with teaching, research and practice, and joined hands to promote global education towards a new journey of high-quality development and win-win cooperation.
Associate Professor CHEN Hao was invited as a guest speaker to present her project and findings with Ms Regina Brautlacht of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The title of the speech was“From CALL to Multidisciplinary Virtual Exchange: Enhancing Collaboration, Diversity, and Global Skills”. She shared the successstory of the ProGlobe Project, explored the theoretical framework and transformation path of interdisciplinary virtual exchange, and shared the new practices of virtual exchange in facilitating students’ interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation, which provided new ideas and perspectives on cross-disciplinary teaching and research cooperation.
